Header manipulation (platform)

Path: /admin-settings → Header Manipulation tab

Platform-wide management of SIP header manipulation configs — both default (global) and team-specific. Defaults are processed first, then team configs.

Config types

Type	Created by	Scope	Visible to	Editable by
Default	SUPERUSER	Platform-wide, applies to all teams.	All teams (read-only).	SUPERUSER.
Team	Team ADMIN or SUPERUSER	Single team only.	Owning team + SUPERUSER.	Team ADMIN or SUPERUSER.

Default configs appear on base numbers automatically and cannot be removed by teams.

Fields

Field	Required	Description
Configuration Name	Yes	Friendly name.
Type	Auto	Default or Team.
Team	Conditional	Required for Team-scoped configs.
Description	No	What it does.
Enabled	Yes	Master toggle.

Rules

Field	Required	Description
Direction	Yes	`Incoming` (call enters) / `Outgoing` (call forwarded).
Action	Yes	`Add` / `Remove` / `Modify`.
Header Name	Yes	e.g. `From`, `P-Asserted-Identity`, `X-Custom-Header`.
Value / Pattern	Conditional	Value (Add) or regex (Modify / Remove).
Condition	No	Optional match condition.

Display columns

Column	Description
Configuration Name	Name.
Type	Default / Team.
Team	Owning team (Team type).
Description	Description.
Rules Count	Number of rules.
Base Numbers Count	How many base numbers use this config.
Enabled	Active toggle.

Genesys / Collab worked examples

VF markets pass bot k/v pairs on BYE (Genesys Cloud) or Refer-To query params (Collab). Team-facing steps and prefix/suffix coverage are on Header manipulation (team). Egress request-URIs (FQDN vs TGRP) are on Genesys Cloud BYOC.

Workflows

Create a Default config

Click Create → leave Team empty → name + description → add rules → enable → save → assign to Base Numbers.

Create a Team-specific config

Click Create → pick the Team → name + description → add rules → enable → save. Team ADMINs can also create their own configs via Team settings → Header manipulation.
